COLLIN EQUALITY FOUNDATION CHANGES NAME TO THE TRIANGLE FOUNDATION, INC. New organizational focus will be on research and education. FRISCO, July 9, 2007 – Today, the board of trustees of the Collin Equality Foundation announced the change of its name to the Triangle Foundation. The name change establishs a new focus on the organization's commitment to research, education and information. The Triangle Foundation will continue to address the issues that affect gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender individuals within the North Texas region. "Members of our board have been reflecting on the direction that we needed to move our organization since earlier this year. The time is right for this change," said James Nunn, the Foundation's president. "We now have an opportunity to expand our research and public policy functions, which should provide additional educational opportunities and resources to business and community organizations within North Texas and beyond." The Triangle Foundation has plans to further expand its operations in 2008, and will continue to build alliances with regional and state-based organizations that share the Foundation's vision for a more powerful, secure and productive humanity free of discrimination.
